How we work
Our editorial process
How we pick topics, research them, and keep our articles accurate and up to date.
How we pick topics
We write about the color questions people actually search for, like what black roses mean or which two colors make teal. If readers keep asking, it deserves a clear answer.
How we research
We check facts against trusted references before we publish. That includes established color systems like Munsell, art history sources for our history articles, and paint makers' instructions for how-to tips.
Color codes and swatches
We check the hex, RGB, and CMYK values in our color articles. Screens and printers show color differently, so treat a swatch as a close guide, not an exact match.
How we use AI
We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. Anthony Tran reviews, edits, and fact-checks every article before it goes live, and he's responsible for what we publish.
Updates and corrections
We go back to older articles and update them when something changes or we find a better answer. Each article shows the date it was last updated. Found a mistake? Tell us and we'll fix it.
Ads and independence
Ads on Curious Hue are served by Raptive. Advertisers have no say in what we write, and we don't accept payment to cover a product or brand.
